August 2025 wrap up & news
Big new things
From time to time, I’m posting an updated version of my articles on Medium (later, though), on Dashboards Suck (they really do), and on Infuse Data.
And I started to explore more open source-related topics, which will appear either here, or (potentially with an updated version) on UnpackingBOS.com (Business Open Source).
What happened here?
Puh, a lot of writing!
Open AI is squeezing the balloon (they really are).
Why I stopped serving our biggest customer (and they thanked me, later).

Talking about books
Breakneck - China’s Quest to Engineer the Future. Yep, for some reason people in the west seem to still look down on China, while China is on a trajectory to become the next big superpower, in parts to their use of AI and robotics (=AI touching our world in physical form). It’s a great book, recommended reading, am not through yet, but the author is entertaining.
I’ve been doing a lot of rereading lately, “The Mom Test” is still an amazing book for any start up founder or early sales rep, recommended reading, my edition has tons of notes in it.
